Dear Yuletide Writer,

Thank you so much for writing a story for me! This is my first time participating in Yuletide after witnessing it from afar for several years, so I'm very excited to read whatever it is you come up with.

I've included some prompts for each of my requested fandoms below, but please don't feel obligated to stick to what I mention here. I'm on AO3 [archiveofourown.org profile] myrtlebroadbelt. You can also find me on Tumblr [tumblr.com profile] myrtlebroadbelt and on my Fargo sideblog [tumblr.com profile] thefutureiswhat.

Treats are welcome for all of my requested fandoms, and gifting is enabled.

***SPOILER WARNINGS for all fandoms listed below***

Fargo (TV)

Rabbi Milligan

Rabbi is far and away my favorite Season 4 character, and I’m dying to read a character study about him. How did he come to terms with the violent life he was born into? When did he decide to betray his family? What was his life like with the Faddas? How much Italian does he know? What's the story behind his hidden money in Kansas?

I'd also love something that plays into the show's supernatural elements. Maybe a story following Rabbi as he's carried away by the tornado? Or what about that curse his father put on him before dying? Does Rabbi believe in it? Or if you want to try something really out there, I totally support the theory that Rabbi is Rabbit the dog, in the same way Ray is the cat.

I’m also very happy to receive something exploring Rabbi’s relationship with Satchel. What about the part where Rabbi's father also cursed his children? Does that apply to Satchel? How about a canon-divergent AU where Rabbi lives? Would Satchel still grow up to be Mike Milligan?

Black Books (TV)

Bernard Black, Manny Bianco, Fran Katzenjammer

I find myself returning to this show at least once a year. I love how witty and weird it is, and my favorite episodes are the ones that focus on all three main characters together. "A Nice Change" and "Party" come to mind.

Anything that feels like it could be from a lost episode of the show is a win -- the wackier, the better. Time travel? Dream sequences? An event told from each of their different perspectives? Blurring the line between Bernard’s writing and reality? People thinking they’re a throuple? Them actually becoming a throuple? It’s all good.

If you do go the shippy route, I would prefer them all together, rather than having one of them as a third wheel. But platonic fic is totally welcome as well. I am also very happy to receive a story themed to the holidays and/or the winter season for this fandom, if you feel so inspired.

The Leftovers

Kevin Garvey Jr.

I’ve lost count of how many times I’ve watched "International Assassin." I am obsessed with this show’s depiction of the afterlife, especially how it draws from sources such as The Divine Comedy. I’m personally of the opinion that what Kevin experienced in the hotel was real, but feel free to keep it as ambiguous as the show does.

I would love to read a story that explores the possibility that Kevin really did go to the other place (however you interpret that) when he put the dry cleaning bags over his head in Season 3. What does he do there? Does he try on any of the other outfits in the wardrobe? Does he even go to the hotel, or does he go somewhere else?

Alternatively, a missing or canon-divergent scene from "International Assassin" or one of the other afterlife episodes would also be great. Maybe something from his journey to the well with young Patti? Canon divergence where he gets to talk to Mary in the hotel?

Oh, and if you want to write any or all of the fic in the style of scripture, a la "The Book of Kevin," by all means go for it.

Thank you again, and I hope you have a happy Yuletide!
